Freckleteen could hardly wait to follow the trail of tracks. She zipped by the trees and over a couple of hills she went, back to the stream where she had been the day before. Old revered Oaks turned as she passed by and encouraged her forward to the river bank with a leafy swish.
“I have some questions, can you help me?”” Freckleteen said to the living waters, flowing through the secluded woods.
“What is on your mind dear?” the river burbled.
Freckleteen plucked a couple of nuts from a Hazelnut tree. “This is faerie important.” she cracked the nuts and tested the waters. “what made those little tracks in the forest?
“A boy,” the river answered.
“A real boy?”
“A human boy,” added her watery reflection.
Well, there are no real human boys in the faerie forest … right?”
“Never doubt curiosity, or a boy’s creative imagination, ” answered the babbling brook. “This boy imagined his way here, throou7gh a little magic of his own. The winged kingdoms, specifically the realm of faerie must be felt to maintain a connection. When one begins to sense these new vibrations, a myriad of emotions may accompany unfamiliar territory.”
“Gosh, thanks, River of Life. I’ve always wanted to se a real boy. I only caught a glimpse. I didn’t know there were boys as tiny as a faerie.”
